Licensed Acupuncturist

Kari Watkins Harvey, M.Ac., L.Ac., Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM) is a New York State licensed acupuncturist. She attended the Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly known as Tai Sophia Institute) in Laurel, Maryland and graduated in 2004 with a Master’s In Acupuncture. She is board certified by the National Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine as a Diplomate in Acupuncture. Before attaining her Master’s In Acupuncture, she graduated from Goshen College with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and a Minor in Women’s Studies.

Kari is a highly skilled Five-Element Acupuncturist and has been practicing since 2005. She has training in fertility acupuncture and has an immense passion for assisting others to achieve pregnancy naturally, through the solo use of Five-Element Acupuncture or in conjunction with Medical Reproductive Intervention. Kari also has advanced training in Acudetoxification which addresses the specific needs of those who wish to be free of addictive habits and substance abuse.

Kari’s is passionate about women’s healthcare, and has devoted her practice to careful listening in order to facilitate your healing process, no matter what you are seeking. She starts by gathering a comprehensive medical and social history, and then creates a custom treatment plan with each appointment. Kari utilizes modalities that accompany acupuncture and lifestyle coaching, such as moxibustion, gua sha, cupping, herbal & dietary suggestions.

In her free time, Kari enjoys hiking, kayaking and basking in the many gifts that nature has to offer. She has been receiving acupuncture for over 20 years and views acupuncture as her primary form of healthcare. Kari lives in Brighton, NY with her sweet husband and adorable daughter.
